While developer Remedy is currently hard at work on the Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break, the studio hasn't ruled out the possibility of returning to its Alan Wake series sometime in the future.

Speaking with Xbox Achievements, Remedy Creative Director Sam Lake revealed that the studio may go back to its horror series when the "time is right."

“We’re really, really proud of all the games we have made," said Lake. "And obviously all of them are dear to us. They have a special place in our hearts."

“You never know about the future and as have we have said about Alan Wake, the sequel didn't work out at this point. But definitely we are looking for opportunities to do more, someday, when the time is right.”

Alan Wake came to Xbox 360 in 2010 and was subsequently ported to PC later in 2012. A spin-off called Alan Wake's American Nightmare in 2012.
