Are you a fan of the Final Fantasy XIII saga? Do you enjoy the PC port release of Final Fantasy XIII? Well, even if you don't, there is some actual good news revolving around the series on Steam. Though we have known for a little time about the entire Final Fantasy XIII saga appearing on PC (in a span between October 9th and, at the latest, springtime), Square Enix has officially announced the release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available to play on December 11th, 2014, just a little over two months since the release date of the original. According to SE, the PC version of FFXIII-2 will include all of the downloadable content that the original console version possessed. Like XIII for the PC, players can also swap from the English to Japanese voiceovers, if desired.

Additionally, players can rejoice knowing that Final Fantasy XIII-2 will feature 60 frames per second and resolution options that will include 720p, 1080p, and more - a feature that did not exist when Final Fantasy XIII for the PC released, which caused plenty of negative reviews. Thankfully, to coincide with the release of FFXIII-2, SE will implement a 1080p option in Final Fantasy XIII at the beginning of December. Unfortunately, it may be a little late for the recovery since the launch, but hopefully the news will provide happiness to those that waited to play XIII in 1080p (without using the fan-made resolution mod, anyway).

Nevertheless, fans of the saga can now look forward to the second entry, which focuses on Lightning's younger sister, Serah, and her quest to prevent the world from ending using time paradoxes, all while searching for her sister. The game will launch for $19.99 on December 11th, but there is a special preorder discount of $17.99. Specifications are below:
