The holiday season has arrived, and with that, the charitable nature of others have blossomed. One person is organizing a 24-hour Charity Livestream of the growingly popular Social VR game, Rec Room, to raise money for the very popular charity network called Extra Life.

Rec Room is a free-to-play game for PlayStation VR, Oculus, and HTC Vive. Players can meet up and hang out with friends and strangers to pal around and talk. They can also take part in a number of games together such as Lazer Tag, Charades, Quest, Paintball, and more.

The Extra Life foundation works to support local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Having been around since 2008, they have raised over $30 million for sick and injured children. Extra Life has grown to be one of the most popular Charities in the gaming community.

Reddit User xOGx_Hermes is organizing a 24-hour stream of Rec Room on December 23 to encourage viewers to donate to their Extra Life campaign. Called the Extreme Supreme Stream Team, the event will consist of a number of streamers and channels. The stream will begin "likely early in the morning EST." If they achieve their donation goal of $500, there will be a giveaway for a Samsung VR Headset and Controller. Donating may also get your name written on a virtual sticky note and placed on a wall of fame.

To see more information about the event and its team members, as well as to donate, you can visit their Extra Life page, or you can read their Reddit post about it.
