Razer May Be Making a Smartphone for Gamers

I hope it will be better than the Sony Xperia.

So it might... just might be coming?

What in the world am I referring to? A Razer phone made for gamers! The last phone I remember that was made for gamers was the Sony Xperia, but that performed rather poorly.

Anyway, so Razer is interested in building a smartphone specifically for the gamer demographic. This is according to a report from Bloomberg. But unfortunately, it needs some funding for the device.

With that being said, the company is planning an IPO in Hong Kong later this year, which could very well value its business at $5 billion, providing the funding necessary to build the smartphone.

Truth be told, this piece of news isn't all that surprising, considering that Razer acquired the smartphone company Nextbit.

Unfortunately, that's all we know about the smartphone. As for details, specs... and more? I wouldn't expect any news regarding the phone until 2018 at the earliest.
