One of the many games to be given the spotlight at Bethesda's E3 press event this year was Quake Champions. The multiplayer action shooter is strong in development, and you have a week to play it for yourself.

It began with a gameplay trailer focusing on a few of the playable characters. Each champion has their own skills and abilities, allowing for a diverse level of combat with you and your teammates.

The developers are determined to build a proper eSports game, but it's still in early access currently. To further encourage gameplay, while fixing their bugs, Quake Champions will be free to play for everyone for the next seven days (June 10-17).

This is the first Quake game we've seen in 13 years, since Quake 4 in 2005. It's been in development for over two years. More information, such as release date, will be made available at this year's QuakeCon.
