PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds remains to be the biggest battle royale game on the Android market. Probably because Fortnite is only on iOS at the moment. But both the iOS and Android version of PUBG have a big patch coming, called patch 0.6.0.
This patch will include a number of new features, including a new game mode. The biggest change, however, is likely the inclusion of a first-person perspective. The feature was added to the PC and Xbox versions of the game a while back, eventually getting "first person only" modes due to high demand. It's no surprise that it would eventually make its way to mobile devices.
There will also be a new mode, called Mini-Zone Arcade. This game mode will drop all 100 players into a smaller-than-average circle containing three times as many weapons. This is a more fast-paced, blitz-em type mode, resulting in quicker, more exciting matches.
The patch also introduces Royale Pass. This system is a new way for PUBG players to unlock cosmetic items, similar to Fortnite's Battle Pass system. It can also be upgraded to an Elite Royale Pass, which unlocks additional challenges and rewards. This costs 600 UC, which is the $10 equivalent to the game's internal currency.
The best part? PUBG Mobile patch 0.6.0 has released today, June 20, on Android and iOS.
