We don't know what it is, either.

What do you do when you lead the development of one of the biggest battle royale games of all time? In Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene's case, you make another game. Introducing Prologue, the next title from PlayerUnknown Productions.

The game was revealed at the 2019 Game Awards. We say revealed, but to be honest, there was almost no information regarding the game. The reveal trailer shows a stormy forest environment before cutting to the game's title, Prologue.

You can visit the official webpage, which displays the same scenery and allows you to sign up for email notifications for the game. It also offers the following description.

Prologue is an exploration of new technologies and gameplay. Our aim with this game is to give players unique and memorable experiences, each and every time they play.

If you can figure out what they mean by that, please let us know. Our current speculation is that it is a procedurally-generated survival game that will explain the origin of the battle royale game.

Only time will tell.
