PUBG Corp isn’t going to take it sitting down, and the developers decided that it’s going to take the bull by the horns, and in a Steam Update, they revealed that the reason development has slowed down in recent months is because they’ve been dedicating so much time and effort on stopping the aforementioned cheating issues.
But all that’s going to change, apparently:
We do have a lot of exciting things that we want to share with you, including new content to provide more extensive battle royale experiences as well as improvements and modifications to create a deeper and more realistic gameplay. In March, the team will reveal what you can expect from us in the first half of 2018 in terms of our development and new content plans which, by the way, include a new map.
Another map? So soon? No one is going to complain, I’m sure, but with so many people still miffed at Miramar it does make one wonder what to expect from this bad boy. What sort of ruined semi-urban landscape will we navigate this time? A jungle? An arctic wasteland? An underwater ocean base?
Either way, in March, we’ll have the roadmap, and we’ll know for sure. Unless something happens, of course. That always seems to cause problems.
