PlayStation Now users can now download PS4 and PS2 games onto their PlayStation 4 console as part a new update.
According to an announcement on the PlayStation blog, a recent update for the service will allow users to play the game library they have access to both locally and offline. This new feature will be available for "almost all PS4 games in the service" as well as " the PS Now lineup of classic PS2 games remastered for PS4."
Downloaded games will support user purchased DLC and microtransactions, as well as PS4 Pro features for those with the console variation. You can even transfer your save files from streamed games you've already put time into.
The catch? You'll need to connect your PS4 system to the internet every few days to verify your PS Now subscription as valid. Those planning on being offline for extended periods of time may want to opt out of this idea then.
A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to participate in the PS Now service. The new download and offline feature will roll out to various subscribers over the next few days. If you haven't noticed the option yet, give it some time.
