What will you be? Human, mutant, or synthetic?

Project Genom, one of the first open-world MMORPGs developed with the Unreal Engine 4 engine, is now available as Early Access. The game offers a seamless world with no loading screens whatsoever. And just to give you a slight idea of how big the world is, the map has been expanded 16 times, and the character leveling system is always changing.

What makes the game stand out is that the system is based on the changes of your character's internal organs. Over time and experience, you can choose to either develop regular organs and remain human, replace them with implants and become some synthetic form, or undergo genetic modifications and become a mutant.

Here's a bit more info about it:

To gain active and passive skills for each organ system, a players needs to rely on a skill point tree.

The points are only gained when the player installs an implant that will be developed and later replaced to gain more points and skills.

What's really interesting is the fact that there are diseases that will plague players. Every player is at risk for some disease as they travel the world. These diseases affect one organ, which closes off the skills that are based on the organ. Of course, there's a cure. But what if you can't find it? Well, the disease will spread to your other organs, eventually killing you.

So the system is interesting enough at least to give it a try. If you want to learn more about the MMO, you can check out the official site here. I will say that the site definitely needs a spell-check. Project Genom is priced at $17.99 currently for the Basic Pack, $33.15 for the Bronze Pack, $47.99 for the Silver, and $119.99 for the Golden Pack.
