Remember Project CARS?
If you don't, that's okay, especially since it still hasn't been released yet. However, developers have finally shed a little more light on the upcoming racer.
Slightly Mad has announced that Project CARS will run at 60 FPS on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems, but when referring to the resolution, there will be a slight difference between the two versions. The PlayStation 4 version will run Project Cars at 1080p, whereas the Xbox One version will run at 900p.
If you think that's amazing, the PC version is way more mindblowing. The final resolution for the PC version can run up to a measley 12k with uncapped FPS. Geez.
I can't even fathom a 12k resolution anything.
Project CARS has been delayed three times - probably for the best considering the releases of DriveClub and The Crew - but we will finally see it on shelves mid-May for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. What date?
No idea.
Project CARS's first free DLC will be the Lykan Hypersport car, which has been featured in the recent Fast & Furious 7. If you pre-order the game, you will receive the McLaren F1 road car, Sauber C9 Le Mans prototype, BMW M1 ProCar, Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupe DTM car and 1967 Ford Mk IV endurance racing car.
For those curious about a SteamOS or Wii U release, the game is still currently in development for those platforms so no worries, I assure you. Unfortunately, there will be no version of the game arriving for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, due to hardware limitations. Well, all the more reason to upgrade to Next Gen.
