Terra Battle has finally reached the 2 million Download Starter achievement. What could this possibly mean? Well, to anyone that doesn't play Sakaguchi's hit game, it may mean nothing special. However, to any fan of the pincer-strategy hit, it means that production for the console version of Terra Battle can finally begin!

Here is the full description of the achievement goal:

In developing Terra Battle - a mobile game that players can download and play for free-our hope was to fill this project with our dreams. Reaching the two million downloads milestone is but a goal within a bigger goal. We want to begin developing the console version of Terra Battle while still operating the mobile version that our fans will continue to love.

We may have a long way to go in terms of negotiations and such, but no matter what shape or form the outcome takes, we will strive to bring this dream-inspiring project to life.

This is exciting, as the release of the console version would bring in a flood of additional players. What could the console version detail though? Would it be the same version as the mobile phone, or a more expansive, deeper game that utilizes a different type of gameplay?

While we wait for more details, you can always delve into the free-to-play goodness of Terra Battle, downloadable on iOS and Android. Currently The Last Story campaign is happening, so you may want to get a jump on that if you haven't!
