Prey is coming out on May 5th, which is only one week away. So far, no early access copies have been released and it looks like it's going to stay that way. Bethesda is sticking to their policy that was officially announced last year and will continue to keep review copies locked away. While this is a very controversial move, they have proven that they aren't doing it to hide any flaws in the game.
Both Doom and Dishonored 2 were only seen after the official release date last year and both games were extremely well made. They were both in the running for game of the year, and I expect Prey to be a great title as well. While my concern over the quality of the game is extremely small, the gamer in me is a little upset. I mean, come on. I want to see some streamers and YouTubers pick up the game and play today.
Regardless, Bethesda doesn't really care what I think about the situation, so it looks like we're stuck. Next week you'll be able to check out the entire game when it comes out on May 5th. For now, I guess you can just watch some trailers and see if you missed something the first time around, or you can play the demo on either Xbox One, PS4, or PC right now.
