President Joe Biden Can Still beat Granddaughter at Mario Kart

As it turns out, Recently elected United States President Joe Biden, has a bit of a history with Mario Kart. At least thats what a recent Instagram post by his granddaughter seems to imply.

Naomi Biden, granddaughter of Biden, posted a picture of her with the commander in chief during a weekend break to the Presidential retreat Camp David. The picture shows the two of them racing each other on a pair of Mark Kart Arcade GP DX machines. The image was captioned with a claim that hes a little rusty, but still (barely) managed to beat her at the game.

The image does not appear to be publicly available anymore, the reason for the removal is not clear at this time. Screenshots of the photo remain in circulation online, however. (Thanks, Kotaku)

The term rusty is being taken to imply that Biden has enough experience with the game to develop skills that could get rusty in the first place. Mario Kart is one of the most popular racing games of all time. Its perfectly imaginable that the two used to play the game together. I used to play the original Mark Kart with my grandfather whenever I visited, after all.

This is countless leagues better than the last time we heard about the president being connected to Mario Kart in some way. Last time, it was to compare a character to their genitals. Around September 2018, porn star Stormy Daniels revealed her account with (then) president Donald Trump in a new book. In this book, she remarks about his oddly shaped penis, claiming that he had a dick like the mushroom character in Mario Kart. That was a weird day for many of us in the games journalism industry.
