Want the realistic experience of being at the helm of a tractor?

Well, besides being on an actual tractor?

Now you can, thanks to Mad Catz! Today, pre-orders for a range of Saitek-Branded simulation products have gone live, compatible with--you guessed it--Farming Simulator 2013, 2015, and 2015 Gold Edition, and designed to be compatible with future releases of the series. Upon pre-ordering the peripheral, you will receive a highly realistic Tractor Wheel & Pedal Set, complete with a center-sprung, properly tilted wheel, and a turn-knob supporting 900 degrees of rotation.

What is also available is the Vehicle Side Panel, providing over 25 programmable buttons to truly immerse yourself in the world of farm machinery. Including a realistic, front loader control stick, players will have control over vertical, horizontal, and twist axes. However, there is a mode switch on top of the stick that doubles the commands, providing a total of six axes.

Quoting Darren Richardson, President and CEO of Mad Catz, on the product:

"Our Saitek brand of simulation products strive for authenticity, quality and attention to detail and we believe that Farming Simulator enthusiasts will be impressed with our forthcoming range of hardware. We are pleased to offer fans the opportunity to pre-order the range of products and look forward to them contributing to our growth in 2015 and beyond."

I'm not a fan of Farming Simulator, but I have to admit that this is a unique, nifty piece of work that would assuredly increase immersion. Combine that with a virtual reality headset, and you're golden.

The hardware will be available for show at E3 this year at the Focus Home Interactive booth.

The Farming Simulator Hardware will be available Fall of 2015. The entire bundle, which supports both PC and Mac, will cost $299.99, the wheel and pedal set for $149.99, and the vehicle side panel for $149.99.
