On the Xbox One, anyway. Sorry, folks.

Who doesn't like free games? If you don't, then it's probably best that you shouldn't read this. DOOM and DOOM 2 will be not only receiving backwards compatibility, but also be shipped digitally free of charge to those that pre-order the digital version of the new DOOM, which is now live on the Xbox Store.

The codes for both games will be sent between seven to ten days after placing the order. The new DOOM is expected to release May 13, 2016 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, for those looking to receive free codes of the older DOOM titles, you're without much luck, because the offer is only valid for the Xbox One, and not the PlayStation 4 and PC. Well, at least everyone can look forward to the pricey $120 collector's edition, right?

The collector's edition will have a 12" statue of the Revenant and an exclusive metal case... that's all. At least, when you pre-order DOOM, you'll receive a Demon Multiplayer Pack, which includes a demon armor set with three skins, six paint colors, and three id Software patterns for both weapons and gear.
