It seems as if there has been a great boom of PC gaming. We've known it for awhile, and yet, many of us are still surprised with what games have been arriving for the platform. Several Final Fantasy games, Valkyria Chronicles, and many more titles have surprisingly been ported to the PC; now we have PC versions of two games from a very familiar series.
That's right, Tales of Zestiria is coming to the PC later this October, which has been accepting pre-orders. Alongside pre-orders will be reward tiers that unlock post-launch freebies as players spread the word.
Now for the second info-drop:
Tales of Symphonia HD will be arriving on the PC in 2016. This cult classic has earned the Tales series a large amount of popularity, sometimes even being dubbed, "The Final Fantasy VII of the Tales Series." But that's not all -- many people's eyes have probably already lit up at the mere mention of the port, but this next piece of information may cause hearts to stutter:
Those that pre-order Tales of Zestiria this year will potentially receive the HD version of Tales of Symphonia AT NO CHARGE. That's right, completely free. In other words, Bandai Namco may be pulling a Bethesda with the Fallout 3/4 bundle for the Xbox One. Or maybe it's the other way around, since both pieces of news have been announced today.
Either way, it is not 100% confirmed, but if it is, players will receive a copy of the 2004 Nintendo GameCube classic, which ignited a sales boom of the Tales series and a sequel titled, Dawn of the New World, which has been ported as a bundle to the PlayStation 3 fairly recently.
However, this free-game incentive will only become available if Tales of Zestiria receives enough pre-orders. There's no doubt, though, that this incentive may be more than enough to pre-purchase Tales of Zestiria, even if for Tales of Symphonia alone.
Tales of Zestiria will release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and the PC on October 20. Unfortunately and as of current, there is no exact release date for the PC version of Tales of Symphonia HD.
