The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have hit gold with the release of Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu. By updating and streamlining the original Yellow game (of which the games have more in common than Red and Blue), as well as incorporating features from Pokemon Go, the two companies have created what appears to be a must-buy for Switch owners, as the two games have apparently broken sales records for the switch.
Specifically, within the first week of release, the two games sold a combined 3 million copies, which is better than The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey did in that stretch of time. And it seems as if the sales haven’t slowed much, putting these games on-track to being the best-selling Switch games ever.
So that’s a cool little tidbit.
