Pokemon GO's database of PokeStops stretches far and wide. Almost any recognizable spot is either a Stop or a Gym. Unfortunately, this led to a couple insensitive choices. I'm not talking about cemeteries or something here. I'm more talking about more serious places. Like the Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Why am I not surprised this problem existed?
There was a problem with people playing Pokemon GO at the museum. Now I do understand the drive to catching a new or rare Pokemon, but there has to be a limit. I'm apparently not alone in thinking that. The museum's spokesman, Andrew Hollinger, said that the location has been removed from the game. Hopefully this leads to more removals of insensitive places.
