It appears as though Niantic might actually be doing something positive for the players of Pokemon GO. After the removal of tracking, login failures, and server connection issues, this game seemed to be on a fast decline. Although it's been quite some time, Niantic is supposedly adding in some big updates soon. If you're wondering where this information is coming from, it's no different than any other undercover gaming news leak. Reddit. According to some Reddit users who dove into the coding of the game, they uncovered some of the updates that Niantic was trying to keep quiet for a bit longer. Let's dive into the most exciting ones and see just how generous Niantic is going to be for us.

New Incenses: There have been reports of three new incenses found in the coding of the game. Now, incenses are used to draw nearby Pokemon to a Pokestop. You might get some cool stuff, but it's pretty random. These new incenses will help you catch specific Pokemon. Spicy Incense will be used to capture Fire and Electric Pokemon, Cool Incense will be used to lure in Water and Ice Pokemon, and finally the new Floral Incense will attract the Grass and Bug Pokemon over to you. These should be available with the launch of Generation 2 Pokemon later this year.

Pokemon Buddy System: In a future update, players should be able to assign themselves a "buddy" Pokemon. Much like Pikachu and Ash, this Pokemon will follow your character around on the screen and collect candies as you walk around with him/her. This can be extremely helpful if you find a rare Pokemon in your area, but you only have one. Being able to walk long distances and pick up candies can help you get the resources you need to level up and evolve. The candy will have a daily limit, but it's unconfirmed what that limit is. Pokemon will also travel with you in a variety of ways. Some may fly, walk behind you, or even sit up on your shoulder.

Trading: You read that correctly. Reddit users found several new lines of code in the latest update that refer to trading. It should be coming very soon and will allow you and your friends to make a couple of PokeSwaps. Not really feeling this Lapras anymore, well why not offer it up for your friend's Gengar?

Legendary Pokemon and VR: On a smaller side note, there have been more rumors surfacing about a legendary release. People believe that Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will be the first legendary Pokemon to hit the game, and while that makes sense, it hasn't been confirmed. There have also been reports of a new "VR" folder found inside the games coding. The folder contains references to Google's VR, the Google Cardboard. This is a very cheap VR Headset and may be available for use with Pokemon Go in the near future.

With all of these great updates coming, Niantic has finally shown players a little bit of appreciation. Though all of the changes players desire won't be available right away, hopefully Niantic stays on a roll and continues giving players quality updates.
