Pokemon GO is making strides. At first, it was exclusive to Japan for field testing, but the app will now make its way to Australia and New Zealand. However, keep in mind that this is just a field test, or a beta test if you will. You can sign up on Niantic, but you're not guaranteed entry. Like a beta, the purpose of the field test is to provide feedback, which will help improve Pokemon GO for all users worldwide.
From what we know thus far back in March, there will be PokeShops, achievement medals, Pokemon Eggs, and Gym Battles thus far. But the unfortunate matter relates to the first look of Pokemon GO, shown during SXSW. Some people are just not happy with the turnout of the app so far, but hopefully we'll see more footage in the future. Then again, in my opinion, it just seems a little lackluster and the pokemon are a tad too close to you, i.e. the screen.
Well, at least your throw distance will be registered?
Pokemon GO will be available for download on the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store sometime in 2016.
