Wailing Heights: We've reached into the depths of this bizarre point-and-click adventure with a full two-parter interview (part one you can read here, part two here), and since then, Outsider Games been working hard to polish a memorable, extravagant musical title.

Just recently (by recently, I mean a few hours ago), Outsider Games released the game onto Steam Greenlight; now, the team is asking for your help to bring it onto Steam.

With a story by Kevin Beimers (Hector: Badge of Carnage) and beautiful comic-styled artwork, this story is something else. Featuring a rock star manager who is down on his luck, trapped in a village full of vegan werewolves, hipster vampires, gossiping ghosts, and Motown zombies. Yup, they're normal just like you and I...
Sort of. Not really.

Either way, you're in the shoes of Frances Finklestein, the one-time manager for the greatest rock band of all time: The Deadbeats. Taking place in 2016, the last surviving member of the group died in a plane crash on the way to the Grammys. Finklestein soon receives a call to host a gig in an unknown town: Wailing Heights. Because it's a gig, he takes it anyway. But the monsters aren't too fond of the living trespassing.

Finklestein thus ends up in the town prison, where a cell mate teaches you to body-hop, an ability that allows you to possess other bodies. Each creature's skills and abilities will help you get your body out of jail so you can leave the place forever.

Oh, did I mention it's a musical game? Because it is. To be able to possess a new body, you need to find a resident's name, an item they love, and find something they absolutely loath, which transforms them into body-hopping lyrics. As a bat, you'll be able to take to the skies. As a werewolf, you can sniff out a trail from the Ruff House Vegan Bar, and the Motown Zombies... well you'll just shuffle along.

There's much more than just that. These factions are separated for a good reason, so you'll be solving a lot of problems along the way...

From what I've played of the demo, it's been shaping up to be a bouncy, musical adventure that's easy to fall in love with. If this is something you're interested in, then by all means, do hit that "Yes!" button on the official Steam Greenlight page.
