It looks like Helldivers is no longer a PlayStation exclusive, as Arrowhead Game Studios has announced that its latest game is heading for the PC via Steam in December of 2015. The PC version will include all three free expansions, including Democracy Strikes Back, and all DLC will be available for purchase.

According to CEO and Game Director, Johan Pilestedt:

"We are thrilled to be releasing Helldivers on PC - our fourth game so far - and for the platform which we first started developing games on.

We have done our very best to ensure that the game will feel as good as possible when played on PC. With a wide range of graphic options, rebindable keys and an added text chat, we hope that we will meet the expectations which players have of a PC title.

We have received so much support from the community already, and feel very happy and privileged to welcome new players into the Helldivers universe. I hope that many more people get the chance to experience Freedom, Liberty and Democracy for themselves!"

Helldivers is a twin stick shooter that is co-op, top-down, and extremely hardcore. Suitable for 1-4 players, with a mix of on-and-offline or local-co op, you can team up or head solo into a dystopian future where mankind is ruled by a managed democracy and you're part of an elite unit called the Helldivers, who protect Super-Earth in the midst of an intergalactic war.
