The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR is getting ever closer to its release date of November 17. To help encourage more people to embrace the idea of VR as a mainstream gaming peripheral, a new bundle has been announced by Mary Yee, Vice President of PlayStation Marketing. A small video was released alongside this announcement (seen below).
The somewhat awkwardly-named "PlayStation VR Skyrim VR Bundle" will include a PSVR setup (headset and external processing block), a PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, and Skyrim VR. That is everything you'll need to enjoy not just Skyrim VR but nearly all other PSVR titles. Skyrim VR will also include the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn add-ons already.
To buy all these parts individually would total out to $450 when purchased new. Convenient when the PlayStation VR Skyrim VR Bundle costs $449.99 USD. While normally I appreciate the saving of value from bundles, you could save yourself some money by buying the controllers and camera used. If you want everything new, however, then this is a great way to pay the expected price while already having them all accumulated into one package for you.
When Skyrim VR comes out on November 17, it will be available on PSVR and the HTC Vive for $60. It will undoubtedly be an incredible experience in virtual reality.
