Attention towards the blockbuster battle royale game, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, have been on the rise once more with the upcoming release of the games official 1.0 launch (commonly referred to as "going gold"). Now that attention builds even more with the new release of the next playable map, Miramar.

The new map takes us from the fresh grassy plains of Erangel and into the arid expanse of the desert. Developers Bluehole remarked on the environmental decision in a posting made on the Steam pages.

"We wanted to go the opposite direction of having lush fields and forests. The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required."

The Steam page goes into further detail about the map and all the interesting additions therein. Some notable locations in Miramar include:
  • Los Leones
  • El Pozo
  • Monte Nuevo
  • Valle del Mar
  • La Cobreri
  • San Martin
  • Pecado
  • Chumacera

Additionally, Bluehole announced three new cosmetic package options for the Xbox One when the game launches on the platform on December 12: the PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack, and the PUBG Tracksuit pack.

The PUBG Warrior Pack releases tomorrow (December 7) for $9.99 and contains a balaclava hat, camo t-shirt, pants and tennis shoes. The Accessory Pack will be available on December 14 for $4.99, and the Tracksuit Pack on December 21.
