Seems like EA is being extremely generous recently with their games, considering the giveaways of certain free games at the PlayStation Experience held back in early December. Now, the huge company is really attempting to turn around its negative history by adding a nifty little program, called On the House.
What is it? Well it's a program where people can download free games, with no strings attached. As in the full game, not the demo or a timed trial. And the game is yours to keep forever! There will be a free game added after so long, and the very first game to make its debut in the program is Theme Hospital, an older game where you design and manage a high tech hospital while tending to the sick. This game was released on March 30th, 1997 and was developed by Bullfrog Productions.
So what exactly is the goal of this program?
According to Origin, "Our goal is to provide a great gaming experience and a way to discover awesome new games. Having a game in your library, for free, is a fantastic way to see what Origin is all about."
I'm not entirely sold on Theme Hospital, but I am hoping games like Titanfall would be released for free on Origin. Then again, Theme Hospital does involve a bit of humor, so maybe I will give it a chance, because the game IS free. To download Theme Hospital, you can access it on the Origin app, which can be downloaded here.
