April Fools Day pretty much means nothing in real life anymore, but on the internet, it’s the premiere day for Easter eggs, gags, and other shinanigans from our favorite websites. One of the most prestigious, acclaimed April Fool’s Day jokers is Google, who has periodically released hilarious ‘improvements’ to Google (such as a search by smell function and ‘brain wave reading’) and other crazy offerings.
This year, however, we’re getting something a little more gamer-friendly—and you can try it out now! It’s as simple as going onto Google Maps, finding a location with lots of roads, and clicking on the small Pac-Man icon on the bottom left of the screen, next to where street view is.
Then, prepare yourself for some retro fun!
...that’s... pretty much it! Wooo! April Fools!
