Ever grow tired of choosing between your favorite tabletop game to play? Fret no longer! Wizards of the Coast has published a new project that merges Dungeons & Dragons with Magic: the Gathering.
In a digital magazine known as Digital Dragon+, you'll see news and features pertaining to the world of D&D. Thier most recent issue features a piece called "Plane Shift," which brings the players to the Magic: The Gathering world of Ixalan.
Ixalan is one of the planes that make up the Magic: The Gathering universe. It's a tropical jungle island full of Mesoamerican inspired cultures, but with pirates and dinosaurs. It's from this world a majority of planeswalkers (Magic: The Gathering players) summon their monsters for combat. This document lets Dungeons & Dragons players dive into the world, itself.
The document acts similarly to a campaign module. It provides the Dungeon Master with important information about the land, its people, its monsters, and its current events. It also provides the DM with helpful guides for how to steer the players in the desired direction. It even incorporates the color system from Magic: The Gathering as a character alignment guide.
You can download the full Plane Shift document for free. You can also download past Plane Shift documents detailing the Magic: The Gathering worlds of Kaladesh and Amonkhet.
