Theres a lot of excitement for the upcoming Far Cry 6 game, especially with a clear and dreadful image of the games villain now presented to us. But what about their perspective. Dont you sometimes wonder WHY theyre the bad guys? Or at the least, what do they actually do? Thats what the games DLC plans to dive into.
This information comes from the Ubisoft Forward livestream presentation on Saturday. During the event, a new cinematic trailer detailing the oppressive nature of Far Cry 6s antagonist, Antón Castillo. Afterwards, they revealed their plans for the game, post launch.
The trailer shows various scenes from past Far Cry games, but from the perspective of their respective antagonists. This includes Vass Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed from Far Cry 3, 4, and 5. It gives us a look at some of the things well experience from their view.
The trailer ends with one other reveal, displaying the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon logo. Originally a DLC expansion to Far Cry 3, it was a standalone story in a stylized, vaporwave 80s action adventure. It was a very tongue-in-cheek experience, full of satire for the era it represented. Its not clear in what capacity this will be revived as. More on this will likely be made clear in due time.
Far Cry 6 will release on consoles and PC on October 7.
