Plans for Destiny in 2015 Leak to the Public

Potentially, Destiny will finally receive the content we've all been waiting for.

Destiny has been facing plenty of issues and criticisms. The recent DLC, The Dark Below, has garnered some fair reviews from critics and poor reception from fans. More of the same, rehashed enemies, etc. In other words, the DLC has done no favors for Bungie. However, there may be some hope for Bungie yet. A leaked image from a Bungie meeting suggests an actual unannounced expansion titled Comet: Plague of Darkness. The supposed expansion is set to release this September. Comet will apparently feature much more than the two DLC releases, The Dark Below and the upcoming House of Wolves, such as new subclasses, weapon types, PvP maps, story missions, and locations.

Referring to the image, Comet may be receiving its own disc. Two DLC additions are likely to accompany Comet, titled "The Vex" and "Forge of Gods." According to the Bungie-Activision contract, this has been planned quite awhile ago. The release plan indicated four major retail Destiny Game releases, originally scheduled for the Fall of 2013 (which didn't happen), 2015, 2017, and 2019, and four "Comet" releases, scheduled for each year between the major Destiny releases. So it is definite that there are plans to expand each game. Will it make Destiny feel much more immersive? Will the story finally unfold? Guess we will have to find out this September. Until then, the most we can do is try to keep busy with The Dark Below and the March 10th release of House of Wolves.
