Obsidian, the new Bioware now that the old Bioware has sold out and works with EA, has been churning out powerful RPG's on the PC for a few years now, and people have been eating them up with a fork and knife. Their old-school appeal combined with rich worlds and vivid storytelling make most of their games instant classics, and console gamers have had to look on with envy as PC gamers got to be whisked away onto grand journeys.
But there's good news, ladies and gentlemen: Paradox Interactive, the publisher of the 2015 smash hit Pillars of Eternity, has just announced that they will be porting the game, as well as re-mapping the controls, to the PS4 and Xbox One on August 29th. Not only that, it'll be the complete edition of the game, so it will have both parts of the White March expansion pre-installed. How cool is that?
Check out the trailer, dawgs:
But wait: there's more. In 2015, Paradox Interactive also released Cities: Skylines, a Sim City clone that was far better than the game that inspired it, thanks to it foregoing the "always online" bull that EA tried to pull and was instead just a good city simulator. Well, they're also releasing that for consoles too, on August 15th, but only for PS4 owners. Check out the trailer.
Finally, we're catching up, fellow console gamers! Two years late is better than never!
