Persona 5 finally hit the "2 millions copies sold" milestone that it is deserving of. To no surprise, it was recently nominated for four categories in this year's Game of the Year nominations. These categories include: "Game of the Year," "Best Art Direction," "Best Score/Music," and "Best Role Playing Game." With these nominations in such big categories, you can only imagine that sales will continue to rise for this title. President and CEO of Atlus USA had this to say about the milestone:
"This has been an incredible year for our company, one that represents our ambitions for Japanese games in the west."
If this is the company's ambitions for Japanese games in the west, then I think they have their wheels on the right track.
I would normally say go pick up a copy of Persona 5 today, but if I were you, I would go ahead and wait until that shiny Game of the Year edition comes out, as it will include new content and even more fun.
