People have been complaining about the prices of the different Battlefield 1 game editions, and I really don't understand why. I've seen people talking about how the final Battlefield 1 Deluxe Edition is around $220. Is that a lot of money? Absolutely. I'm not denying that for a single second, but what's new here? Expensive editions have always been a huge part of gaming because the player is rewarded with extra gear. Do I think you should have to pay $60 for the base game and then an additional $15 every other month for more DLC? No. That really bothers me, and if you have a complaint about that, I'm in full agreement with you. Gaming recently has made it so you need to buy the DLC as soon as it comes out or you can't really enjoy the game anymore, take Destiny for example.
Complaining about the special editions of a game absolutely blows my mind. The Battlefield 1 Deluxe Edition is over $200 and comes with the game, an exclusive DLC with some early access to maps, a patch, a deck of playing cards, a 14-inch statue, a messenger pigeon tube, and a cloth poster. The only things you can arguably say that you "need" from that is the game and the DLC. Everything else is just bonus. They're giving a ton of loot for the extra money your spending and the only reason it's available is because there are some real, die-hard, Battlefield fans out there that really think this stuff is awesome! Bottom line, if you don't want to spend $200+ dollars on a game, don't do it. DICE isn't forcing you to do anything.
