Remember Mario Party: Star Rush? It was announced back during E3 but didn't manage to garner too much attention (likely due to the mediocrity of Mario Party 10).

Since then, Star Rush gained notoriety thanks to the discovery of the initial box art being crafted from recycled art belonging to Mario-themed SpaghettiO's.

Fortunately, the final box art looks so much better.

Anyway, some new information regarding the party title - which will be a Nintendo 3DS exclusive, mind you - was recently unveiled by some juicy PAX West footage. From GameXplain and NinEverything:

First of all, the player movement looks to take a turn for the crazy. Referencing Toad Scramble, a new mode where up to four players are able to face off and move however they'd like via open game board, it is learned that everyone can move simultaneously. Everyone is able to begin as Toad, but they can also recruit Mushroom Kingdom characters to lend them a hand when appearing on the board.

There are two other modes to also dive into - Coinathon and Mario Shuffle, which you'd have to check out by watching. That being said, it's important to note that Coinathon is exactly what it sounds like. It's about the gathering of dem coins.

Furthermore, it's important to note that Star Rush is certainly supported by the Super Mario Collection amiibo.

So, will you be checking out Mario Party: Star Rush, or do you plan on passing on the idea?

Mario Party: Star Rush will bring the party to shelves in Europe on October 7, 2016, and in North America on November 4, 2016 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS (and nothing else).
