All gamers know about the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). Every year, PAX holds a couple of huge gaming conventions in the United States and Australia. They are always chock full of exciting guests. They are also always extremely popular and completely filled to the brim with fans. If you haven't been to a PAX event before, you have at least really wished that you could. Right now, the official PAX events are PAX West, East, South, Aus, and Dev in Seattle, Boston, San Antonio, Melbourne, and Seattle respectively. And now, we get to add another convention to that list. PAX Unplugged. The PAX that's all about tabletop gaming.

An entire weekend of just this!

Supposedly, the support for tabletop at PAX events has seen massive popularity. It's seem so much, in fact, that PAX organizers saw a need to spill over into a separate expo just for tabletop gaming. That's not just me making assumptions about PAX Unplugged, either. The purpose and reason behind it are clearly explained on the site's homepage.

PAX Unplugged will be an exciting analog-focused extension of our already existing portfolio of PAX events. We've found that the Tabletop parts of PAX have grown and grown to the point where we said, "You know what? Let's make a show that's just that."

PAX Unplugged is set to run November 17-19 at the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia. Right now, there's much more info to go on. However, that is enough for anyone to grab a hotel room before they're all gone. There's no way to tell for sure what's coming to PAX Unplugged, but it's guaranteed to be a tabletop player's dream come true.
