Owlboy, the pixelated 2D indie RPG, is coming to PlayStation 4.
The platform-adventure game developed by D-Pad Studio first released on PC, eventually making its way to Nintendo Switch. It had developed a reputation for the lengthy development time, having begun production in 2007. Now, 11 years later, it's coming to the popular Sony console.
Owlboy takes place in a land of floating islands. These lands are inhabited by a race of owl-like humanoids. You play as Otus, a young boy with no voice. When your town is attacked by a band of pirates, Otus has to do what he can to save his people. Using a collection of friends, each with unique skills and abilities, he discovers a far greater threat than expected.
The game managed scores between 8 and 10 from nearly all major critics and is widely considered one of the best indie games on the market. Last we heard, Owlboy was supposed to release on all consoles February 13 of this year, but so far it's only come to the Nintendo Switch.
To commemorate the event, PlayStation posted an "Action Trailer" on their official YouTube channel.
