Overwatch's Jeff Kaplan Sits in Front of a Fireplace for 10 Hours

It's probably not a loop.

Earlier today, Blizzard decided to live stream a holiday scene of a chair by the fire. While this seems bizarre, things became even more perplexing when the director of Overwatch, Jeff Kaplan, sat down in the chair and more or less sat in silence for seven hours.

What's even weirder is how successful it appears to be. The Twitch stream has currently 39,000 viewers, all of which are excitedly watching to see what happens next.

Twitter user DeathETM captured the boom mic drop, which can be seen here.

Twitter User Choylinggg managed to snap a moment of Jeff opening a present.

As I was writing this, I was lucky enough to see Jeff take a phone call from a telemarketer.

They plan to keep this going for another three hours, ending around 9 PM EST. Why they are doing it is beyond me, but the fans love it. You can see the stream for yourself at the Overwatch Twitch page.
