The Shanghai Dragons didn't have a strong start their first season. The team went 0 - 10 at the first stage, but they hope these new players will help push them in the right direction.
According to a press release, the Shanghai Dragons are working to correct the core problems of the team with their new players, which they are actively working towards bringing them to the States.
They are securing visas and communicating league rules, as well as providing language assistance, professional education, and logistical support. All members of the Shanghai Dragons will work together to help the four new players adjust to the high-intensity competition of the Overwatch League so that they can show their best form and level of play.
Player signings are currently taking place for many Overwatch League teams. League rules say that players must be 18 years old by April 5 and be able to meet U.S. visa requirements in order to be eligible to play in the league's first season. The soonest any new players can compete is on February 21, the day that season 1, stage 2 begins.
