Now that we've seen two seasonal events in Overwatch, we've seen how they work. Each one has offered a collection of skins, emotes, sprays, intro videos, and a new game mode. Of course, all of those items could only be found in event-themed loot boxes. They also ran for three weeks each. From that, players have been speculating about the upcoming winter event. Following that three-week time frame, the most reasonable launch date was suspected to be December 13 (Blizzard posts updates on Tuesdays). And now, thanks to a well timed Tweet from the official Overwatch Twitter, we know for sure that's when it's dropping.

It's the most wonderful time of the year,
and we hope you'll join us for some holiday cheer!

WHEN: DECEMBER 13,2016
WHERE: OVERWATCH

The Tweet also came with a teased shot of the King's Row map decorated in festive lights and snow. Other than that, there's no telling what Blizzard has in store for us during the holiday event. Will multiple holidays be represented? What will the seasonal event be? Who all is getting a new skin? Only time will tell for sure.
