So Blizzard is good at making cinematics, I don’t think that’s news to anyone. So, imagine my excitement when I heard that they were making a new ‘theatrical cinematic’ for their upcoming MOBA-style multiplayer shooter, Overwatch? Yep, theatrical, as in, the kind that will be showing up in select theaters around the globe in advertisements. Check it out below:
Have to admit, it’s kind of… odd. Not that it’s bad, it’s just not very telling of what the game is actually about. It introduces the characters well enough, and the world, but… doesn’t seem very representative. Or, for that matter, informative. Or fun. I expected a bit better from you, Blizzard, this is usually your forte.
Ah well. It’s not for me. If you liked it, that’s what matters, right?
