After a surprisingly short wait, Overwatch's newest event is live. As with previous holiday events, Blizzard went all out for Chinese New Year. There are new skins, emotes, highlight intros, sprays, and more. The holiday loot boxes have been turned into crates of fireworks. And to top it all off, there's even a brand new event, like usual. But this time, instead of a sporting event or a snowball fight, players got something nostalgic: capture the flag.

Take a look at more event details in the trailer below.

While we knew about some of these skins beforehand, there are plenty of surprises. The entire Lijiang Tower is decorated to celebrate the event, and it is even stocked with fireworks. A lot of characters got their hands on some nifty skins too. Unfortunately, Soldier 76, Genji, Hanzo, Widowmaker, and others have been ignored (again). After four events of hardly any new content, I can understand if some players are getting salty.

Anyway, the event is live now! Go ahead and load up some Overwatch to check it out.
