Microsoft has announced that since the Xbox One's launch last November, over 500 million clips have been uploaded using the system's Upload Studio app, whether it was an impressive kill in a shooter or showing off their driving skills in Forza.

This number comes from a post on the Xbox Wire, which also gave a (since removed) number of Xbox One players that had used the feature. That removed number was 5 million, implying that perhaps the Xbox One's lifetime sales are hovering around that number.

The Xbox One's sharing capabilities were recently enhanced by the latest update to the system's social features.

Recently, Microsoft reiterated its commitment to the Kinect, even after removing it from the standard Xbox One box. However, it doesn't want studios to be defined by it, similar to how Rare has been since the latter half of the Xbox 360's lifetime.
