Hopefully you guys haven't forgotten about Outlast. That was a great game, capable of scaring many gamers out of their pants. Well, Outlast II is on its way, and a gameplay video has recently surfaced, featuring a chase in a corfield. Presented by GameSpot, this video shows a more modern UI with your trusty camcorder, updated graphics, and just a sense of fear gripping you. Apparently, you can hide underwater, scour through rows of corn, and scrape on your knees in order to avoid the threat. On the right hand corner, you notice that the recording is at 50Mbps at 1920x1080 and 60P. I wonder if there is an option to actually lower the resolution at the cost of blurrier sight? That would be a cool gameplay mechanic, but more than likely not.

Oh, imagine this in VR, in fact. This game would definitely not be for the faint of heart.

In Outlast II, new characters and, of course a new location will make up the game. The horror sequel will be releasing this fall on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In the meantime, you can drool at the trailer.
