Rock Band 4 hasn't been earning as much love as its predecessors, that's for sure. Hell, it has even failed its recent FIG campaign of heading to the PC. Nope! Anyway, for those interested, at the PAX East 2016 panel Harmonix spoke of the series past, present, and future and announced a few pieces of news:

The new April 25 DLC songs will include "Redneck" by Lamb of God, "What I Like About You" from The Romantics, and "Dope Nose" from Weezer.

Second, the road map for the game has been mapped out at the panel. In May, two Battleborn characters will hit the stage. I'm not even kidding. Miko and Thorns will be selectable. The Double Kick function will also be returning in May.

Practice Mode will be heading to Rock Band 4 in June. Players will be able to practice certain parts of songs and mix the speed up till you're able to perfect the song. Unfortunately, there will be no summer update, but the fall will become massive in terms of updates. Apparently, there will be an expansion that can be likened to Destiny's "The Taken King" in terms of size.

The Music Library will also be changed up so players can rate songs, filters, and can even hide songs you don't care for.

And an Ion Adapter, for the Ion Drums remember, is coming for the Xbox! Right!

The biggest update that will excite fans is Online Multiplayer, heading to Rock Band 4 sometime during Holiday 2016. More information will be available during E3 2016. So with all these updates, what are you most excited about? What do you think is missing? What will be included in the new expansion?

I suppose we will find out in June.
