Originally announced early 2017 during RuneFest, Old School Runescape Mobile was supposed to release "winter 2017." Though due to a number of complications and delays, the product launch was pushed back. Only now are we actually seeing the full extent of the delay
Offering cross-platform play with PC, both Android and iOS users are able to play the online MMO in its entirety with their normal accounts. The game has been available to the lucky few taking part in their Closed Beta sessions, whom they partial credit with the game's concluding development.
"The release has been made possible not only by the tireless work of the various development teams here at Jagex, but also the tremendous success of the various beta tests we've released. We'd like to send our thanks to all of you who participated in our initial Closed Beta tests, the Android Members Beta, the Canada and Nordics soft launch, and our most recent iOS Closed Beta test."
The game can be pre-ordered and pre-registered on the iOS App Store and Android Google Play market respectively. Those in the Members Beta may experience restrictions due to app regulation. More details on that can be found on the announcement post.
