Oculus Rift to Undergo Permanent Price Drop

Hm... tempting.

It appears as if the Oculus Rift will secure a major price drop after the summer sale ends. While you can currently get an Oculus Rift with Touch controllers for $399, you can also secure the bundle for $499 after the summer sale ends. This is according to the recent Oculus Rift announcement. That makes virtual reality a little easier to enter now.

The bundle features the Oculus Rift hardware, a couple of sensors, the Touch controllers, Lucky's Tale, Medium, Toybox, Quill, Dead and Buried, and Robo Recall. Hopefully, we will see a price drop from its competitor, the HTC Vive, because I would prefer the Vive over the Rift.

Does the price drop make the Oculus Rift even more tempting? It certainly does, but at the same time, is it worth the price despite the drop? Quite possibly. Do you plan on purchasing the Oculus Rift at that price? Have you already purchased one from the summer sale? Let us know in the comments!
