Ready for Pillars of Eternity? Well, we hope you are!
Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive has recently released the second part of "The Road to Eternity," a behind-the-scenes documentary that illustrates the development of the crowdfunded RPG Pillars of Eternity.
The second part of the documentary reveals the relief and mindset at Obsidian when they faced the struggles of keeping their studio open. However, that was soon replaced by the immense pressure of the expectations of 70,000 backers.
Pillars of Eternity, which has been featured on the March game releases, is inspired by popular games such as Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment, which features "an original world and game system that evokes and improves upon the traditional computer RPG experience." The game raised $4.5 million through Kickstarter and Obsidian's website and is set for release this Thursday on March 26th, 2015.
You can pre-order the Hero Edition, Champion Edition, or the Royal Edition through Obsidian's site.
If you pre-order the game, you will receive a Giant Miniature Space Piglet and Gaun's Pledge. If you'd like to know more about the RPG, you can visit the main site here. Below you will find both parts one and two of the documentary.
