Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind such games like Fallout: New Vegas, Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, and South Park: Stick of Truth, has announced their plan to unveil a new RPG during the Game Awards next week.

If you visit the developer's website, you'll be greeted by a pop up "advertisement" for a retro-futuristic company, telling viewers to "stay tuned" with a timer counting down to the event. Skipping the screen brings you to a second image or said company's product.

The two advertisements premiered through this method is Auntie Cleo's, which appears to be a skin cream, and Spacer's Choice, a variety of firearms. The latter ad implies a space adventure of sorts.

Details about the game itself remains a mystery, with more details presumed to appear at the formal reveal. We know that it will be published under Take-Two Interactive's Private Division, a publishing branch with a focus on developers. This is the second game to be held under the publication, with Kerbal Space Program being the first.

This news follows not long after tech giant Microsoft announced their acquisition of Obsidian Entertainment. While the company was excited to have them under their umbrella, they fully intend to give the studio complete freedom.

The Game Awards takes place on December 6 and will be broadcast online. There are rumors currently that a new Alien game, Alien: Blackout, will be revealed at the event. For more information, including where and when to watch, can be found on their official website.
