Mistaken Visions has just released a trailer for their new upcoming Noire horror game, The Piano, and it will be available May 24 via Steam. This brave new take on the classic survivor horror genre pits you into post-war France to solve a mystery. As a failed pianist, John Barnerway is accused of the murder of his own brothers and is forced to search for clues around the streets of Paris after World War 2.

All three of John's brothers were, in fact, famous pianists and John, being the black sheep, must have killed them right? Well, the streets of Paris should have the answers, but does more than just clues lie in the desolate streets?

After five years of development, this indie horror game is finally coming to a PC near you. Lead developer John Stemmildt's goal was to create a horror game that not only kept you on the edge of your seat but also enveloped you in a rich story and emotional journey.

The game, which is being released with the help of an indie game consultancy Game If You Are, was discovered by Lewis Denby GIYA's director almost 18 months ago.

He had this to say, "When Jonathan sent me an early demo, I found a game that had an atmosphere and personality unlike anything I'd ever played before - and since then, Jonathan and I have kept collaborating on occasion, slowly nudging it towards completion."

This new take on horror is coming with eight hours of eerie game play for $9.99 on Steam. Check out the trailer released today for a closer look into the world of Mr. Barnerway.
