Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence Sails for September Release

The franchise of Nobunaga's Ambition has been available since 1983, but unfortunately, most titles never saw beyond Japanese borders. Yet, in Japan, it would be difficult to list a platform that didn't support the series - the titles have appeared on the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Mega Drive, 3DO, Sega Saturn, all PlayStation Consoles, Wii, Xbox 360, and many more platforms. Fans have clamored for localizations, and finally, Koei has delivered.

Only a few of these turn-based, highly-tactical strategy games have reached American shores, but fans have clamored for more. Thankfully, Koei has finally delivered. The company, best known for Dynasty Warriors/Hyrule Warriors/Something-Warriors, has announced the localization of Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence on their Facebook page. According to Koei:
 

"Hailed as one of the best installments in the franchises history, this extremely intricate, deep, and meticulous strategy game is set against a backdrop of a fragmented nation and asks the player to take up the mantle of a Daimyo, a feudal lord of the Sengoku era (15th- 16th century Japan), who will fight for the great ideal of uniting the war-ridden country under one rule, thus becoming the first Shogun.

This title, centering around creating a realistic, dynamic, and dramatic playing experience, requires a high level of concentration and skill as players will need to master three key verticals in order to become a well-rounded ruler and successfully beat the game: Creation, Diplomacy and War."

The series has always been known for being a historical simulation with civilization-building elements. Players must train armies, forge alliances, partake in War, and even deal with mundane issues, like building farms and expanding the economy.

Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence is set for PS4, PS3, and PC release on September 1st, 2015 in the US and September 4th, 2015 in Europe.
